Gustavo Badell, the renowned bodybuilder known as “The Freakin Rican” in the bodybuilding community, has passed away at the age of 50. Initially gaining fame in Venezuela, he later became a prominent figure in the sport worldwide.
Bodybuilder Dave Palumbo paid tribute to Badell on Instagram, expressing his sorrow: “With a heavy heart, I bid farewell to @ifbbprogustavobadell… He passed away today at the young age of 50. It’s truly too soon.”
When asked about his victory over eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman in the challenge round at the Olympia, Badell would always respond with one word: “HARD WORK,” as recalled by Palumbo.
The exact cause of his death remains unknown at this time.
