Programme
INTRODUCTION
Post Graduate Diploma in Co-operative Business
management (DCBM) is the core programme of the Institute for young,
in-service or prospective Co-operative business executives and administrators
from all sectors of the Co-operative system. This Diploma is recognised
by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India for recruitment and
promotion in the Co-operative institutions/departments.
Scholars from various countries also take advantage
of this well designed programme every year under of this well designed
programme every year under various international exchange schemes
of training available for officers of developing countries.
OBJECTIVES
- To
strengthen and infuse professionalisation in management of Co-operatives.
- To
provide opportunities to officer of Co-operative departments as
well as Co-operative institutions of various states to horn their
skills through exposure to modern management concepts, methods
and techniques.
- To
inculcate positive and Co-operatives attitude amongst the participants.
- To
expose the participants to national and global integrity.
TARGET
GROUP
The participants sponsored for the programme should
have at least bachelor's degree with experience of minimum three
years in managerial capacity in Co-operative organisations / Government
Departments. He/She should be preferably below 45 years of age (relaxable
in deserving cases) and should have good knowledge of English.
DURATION
This is a 38 week residential programme organised
in three parts, which commences in the first week of July and ends
in the last week of March next year.

PART-III
- This
part is devoted entirely for project study. The participants are
expected to select a topic/problem preferably in the sectoral
specialisation subject and prepare a project report by undertaking
field work in a Co-operative organisation under the guidance of
the faculty.
- The
project report will be presented by the participant which will
be evaluated by a panel of examiners.
OBSERVATION
CUM STUDY TOUR
The participants of the course are expected to undertake the
observation cum study tour for 8 days to study the successful Co-operatives
of the state allotted in two groups.
On
completion of the tour, the participants are required to submit
a detailed report of their observations with a view to make presentation
of the Co-operative institutions visited.
STUDY
VISIT TO SUCCESSFUL Co-operatives
The participants have to undertake study visit
to successful Co-operatives in the state of Maharashtra to study
the growth of Co-operatives.
